Petya Boyukova
Petya Boyukova graduated Scenography at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia (2004-2008) and now continues her education in Costume design NAA, Sofia. In 2007 she specialized in AFA in Maastricht, The Netherlands, as part of the EU Erasmus programme. In 2007 she took part in an exhibition in the Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht with the installation Nine Short Phrases by Ajax. She participates in Ognyana Serafimova's project with students from the art academy, a performance under the title United Shapes of Babylon, which was presented at the Prague Quadrennial in the Czech Republic, as well as during the Small Season at the Sfumato theatre in Sofia, at the August in Art Festival for Visual Arts and the Golden Dolphin Festival, both in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2008 she made the costumes for the play Afternoon games, directed by B. Ivanov at the Drama Training Theatre NATFA and Salza & Smyah Theatre in Sofia. She currently takes part in design of the costumes and set design for the play Hamlet, directed by M. Rosen and V. Valcheva. In 2009 she participates in the Runabout Project, which consisted of two performances Fear - Electric Extension of Imagination at Studio Dauhaus in Sofia as part of the Underground Fest and Runabout In Fear at the Small Season in the Sfumato theatre in Sofia.
